SAP PI AS2 Adapter - Sender receiving 401 Message

$

Hi Experts,

We have configured AS2 from SAP B2B Add-on as part of our SAP PI 7.31 Dual Stack installation. I was able to successfully send AS2 messages to the partner by configuring the appropriate Receiver Channel.

We have a CA Signed certificate which is uploaded in a KeyStore View in NWA. The partner's public certificates are also uploaded on NWA TrustedCA Keystore and also the KeyStore where we store AS2 certificates (some partners use the same certificate, others have different certificates for SSL Handshake and Data Encryption/Signature Authentication).

However, after configuring the appropriate Sender Channel and the associated Configuration Scenario objects, when the partner sends data to us, they are receiving a 401 Unauthorized Error. I have instructed them to send the data to https://server:443/AS2/B2B. I have sent them our public certificate and everything is still failing on their end.

Any help will be appreciated.

Rommel

B2B - EDI Separator sender channel with 'ModuleException' error

Hi,

This is regarding the inbound 856(EDI to file) error with sender EDI separator channel.

The channel is throwing the following error:

'Cannot deliver message: com.sap.aii.af.lib.mp.module.ModuleException: Catching exception calling messaging system. will deliver negative 997 if requested.'

The module parameters used in the channel are attached in the file.

Can someone provide inputs on this issue?

Thanks!

Hari.

SAP PI AS2 Sender Cannot Decrypt Message

Hi Experts,

After resolving our issue for Anonymous login, we are facing a different issue now. We cannot decrypt the message the customer is sending to us. We have configured the certificates correctly (uploaded both private and public key in NWA, used those for decrypting, etc.) in the Sender Comm Channel. To provide some more background, we have a GoDaddy CA Signed certificate which we use for SSL Client Authentication as well.

The Certificate has the following for the intended purposes:

1. Ensures the identity of a remote computer

2. Proves your identity to a remote computer

3. 2.16.840.1.114413.1.7.23.1

Key Usage is listed as follows: Digital Signature, Key Encipherment (a0)

Subject:

CN = SAP PI Quality Instance domainname

OU = Domain Control Validated

Here is the error we receive in B2B Log and Communication Channel Monitoring:

Error occured while decrypting the AS2-message: Cannot decrypt message: org.bouncycastle.cms.CMSException: key invalid in message

I have confirmed with the partner that they are indeed encrypting the message using the public certificate we provided (which again, used the same for SSL Authentication). I have seen some posts that mention that a new certificate must be generated specifically for data encryption and signature authentication.

We have B2B Add-on SP4 installed on a SAP PI 7.31 Dual Stack.

Any feedback will be appreciated. Do we need to configure something or is this a certificate mismatch?

Rommel

use NRO of the B2B addon in dynamic configuration

$

Hi all,

is it possible to use the new Number Range Objects mechanism provided in the B2B addon to build up the filename in dynamic configuration?

I wrote an UDF to set my dynamic config FileName with a value $B2B_UEBNRFILENUMBER$B2B_END_UEBNR, set up a NRO and used the TransmissionNumberModule in my receiver file adapter. But my file was written as File_$B2B_UEBNRFILENUMBER$B2B_END_UEBNR.txt

Any ideas on how to achieve this?

Kind regards,

Hello Experts

We have requirement that SAP P will recieve the EDI Files and would need to filter the files processing based on the sender Id as highlited below in the file.

SenderEDIFile.jpg

We will get list of Senders that needs to processed and any file othe than listed senders should not be processed.

Please suggest if we can maintain the same in B2B cockpit while reading the files as we dont want to touch the PI interface later point of time whenevr new Vendor adds to business.

Thank you.

Incoming partner data management when SAP application down

$

SAP ERP system is normally taken down for maintenance or release purpose at least 5 times a year. ERP release cutovers may some times take 72 hours downtime when partners messages not allowed to be interfaced. Partners cannot be asked to stop sending the messages during this downtime period. Average count of messages are around 10000 a day.

As the messages coming into PO cannot be stopped, how all these messages could be managed to stage in PO and send to ERP in controlled way once it is open to accept the interface messages?

Thanks advance.

Hi All,

I have done a scenario File to File scenario ( XML to EDI ) Conversion.

In  Receiver File adapter I have provided X12Converter Module to convert XML to EDI and it is successful .

But I need clarification on below points:-

1. Is EDI Separator Adapter is  required for the scenario similar like EDI to XML scenario?

2. How can I send Functional Ack. ( 997) in this case?.

Please guide ...

Error in EDI Separator Receiver: EDIFACT message fails: null object loaded from local variable 'cDescr'

$

Hello Folks,

after updating from B2B Addon SP3 to B2B Addon SP4 we face this odd error within the EDI Separator receiver channel. The channel settings are completely default - no check boxes checked, no acknowledgements in place. Before the update the scenarios were all fine.

The scenarios look like this:

FILE/OFTP -> EDI Separator

EDI Separator -> customer/vendor specific scenario -> ERP

However this error occurs only for EDIFACT messages. VDA messages run fine. In our B2B version we do not have EANCOM entries in place - we just use edifact and VDA messages.

These are the entries within the message log:

Information  Message entered AF MP exit bean and will now be passed to the JCA adapter
Error

MP: exception caught with cause java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.lang.String.equalsIgnoreCase(java.lang.String) of a null object loaded from local variable 'cDescr'

Error

Delivery of the message to the application using connection EDISeparator_http://sap.com/xi/XI/EDISeparator failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.lang.String.equalsIgnoreCase(java.lang.String) of a null object loaded from local variable 'cDescr'

The system settings are:

VM Name:    SAP Java Server VM

VM Vendor:    SAP AG

VM Java Version:    1.6.0_65

VM Runtime Version:    6.1.059 24.45-b11

Kernel Version:    7.40.3301.363358.20140408103655

What I have done so far:

-checked if the correct adapter meta data (SP4) is in place

-checked if the correct SP4 sca files are deployed

-deleted b2b table entries and reuploaded them again

Any ideas how to fix this error? What needs to be checked also?

Thank you in advance.

Dear All,

We are facing the error while enabling Acknowledgment 997 in EDI separator Receiver on ANSI X12 to XML conversion .But if Acknowledgement is not enabled the error is not occurring and EDI ANSI X12 is successfully converting to XML also.

We configured all channels for  850 and   997 EDI Separator Sender and File Receivers.

In cockpit ,Conversion everything is working on SAP control key.

NOTE :  We are facing the error only on enabling Ack. 997.

Decision on Inhouse uding B2B addon/hosted EDI partner

$

Dear Experts,

I'm preparing an integration strategy for a client of mine and one of the important areas of consideration is EDI integration. I would like to know if you can me provide me any links which could give a comparison on TCO with rough estimates for both in-house EDI and going via a hosted partner for a medium to big enterprise. I believe SAP has invested quite a bit on the B2B add-on and is still working to add more features to it but I believe at the current point of time the scales are more tilted towards the hosted providers as we are yet to fully emerge from the approach.

The client already has license for a SAP PO environment in the landscape and a license consolidation of B2B add-on and PO does prove to be beneficial. However, there is always the argument in favor of hosted EDI providers that they are the core experts in this field and do this for a living. At the same time, we would need a slightly uplifted skill of a PI consultant who has hands on knowledge on B2B addon to work and support this in future.

Hence if I could get some material to prepare a comparison between the two approaches, then my client can use it as a reference.

Since this is a fresh implementation project, I have suggested the use of B2B addons as it would deliver a single vendor solution going forward with higher flexibility. But I think, I should carefully weigh all the pros and cons.

Migration From Dual Stack PI to SAP PO7.4

$

Hi Everyone,

We are planning to migrate dual stack PI7.30 to SAP PO7.4 and below are the options which we are planning for:

Option 1 :

--->Migrating classical interfaces into ICO using migration tool

--->Splitting Java stack from ABAP stack using the Dual stack split functionality from SAP.

--->After step 2 i believe we have only AEX which will not support BRM and BPM and it can't be a Process Orchestration Package.I have a plan to upgrade AEX to SAP PO.Since AEX will be on separate instance.(I doubt upgrade can be done or not.)

--->After successful migration we have a plan to decommission the ABAP stack. Can we do this?If i choose this option can i save some bucks to my client?

Option 2:

--->Brand new SAP PO 7.4 box

--->Migrating from PI730 dual stack to SAP PO using migration tool

I already tried with option 2 in sandbox and i have migrated few interfaces and it really went well.

I wanted to go for the best option in terms of hardware and software license and cost.We don't have more no of interface so migrating is not a constraint in both cases. We don't have any ccBPM interfaces

--->SLD content in option 1 is not a problem however in option 2 do i need go for SLD synchronization to import content(Product, SWCV,TS and BS) from dual stack to new SAP PO7.4

Please suggest the best option.

Cheers

Pavan

How to make outbound file in EDI format available in Monitoring ?

$
0
0

Hi,

for inbound EDI processing in GenericConverterModule one can set edi.copy (edifact.copy, eancom.copy..) parameter to get a copy of the original EDI message in the message payload aside from the XML representation.

However I tried this on an outbound conversion of XML EANCOM to EANCOM but without success.

Although in message log it shows the parameter saying:

B2B EDIFACTConverterModule: Property: eancom.copy value is set as: true. Read from Channel

B2B EDIFACTConverterModule: copied main document

I can't find a copy of the EDIFACT data that is then sent out through the communication channel.

Any ideas are highly appreciated

Kind regards

Markus
